Letter from the CEO

Jordan Telecom Group surfed the vigorous telecom waters in 2005 and achieved the goals it had set for the year. Our determined policies for the year yielded great successes, and our financial results testify to this end, allowing us in turn to realize ambitious dividend distribution.

We started 2005 with a renewal of our Management Support Contract with France Telecom, our strategic partner. The support contract empowered all aspects of our operations with the technical advancement of our partner, and its leading position in the telecom industry on an international level. We derived from this asset ambitions to place Jordan Telecom Group in the forefront of regional operators, by showcasing our points of strength in turn, placing those ambitions within reach.

We consolidated our operations to become the leading integrated telecommunication service provider in the market. And with that we harnessed our operation to face the first year of competition. Jordan Telecom Group challenged the market with a series of hi-tech services and the substantial growth of the ADSL marks early signs of our dynamism and ambitions.
The core of our business has always been and remains our customers. We continue to carry our permanent efforts to gain customer satisfaction. Our strategies of differentiation and being the “best in class” operators can only be successful in the level of customer satisfaction we endeavor to achieve. And all along, whilst we improve, renew and adopt the best in the market, we simultaneously respond to the demands and needs of our customers, while enhancing, managing and measuring such satisfaction aggressively.

However, Jordan Telecom Group cannot function to its own satisfaction, without the input of its manpower. Our ambitions were made true by our staff, and our targets were achieved with their efforts and as a result of their commitment. Furthermore, we realize that in this world of competition, our innovation, quality of service and timely marketing cannot be made to fruition without the dedication of our employees. They stood up to the challenge of change and performed, as expected, with high motivation and professionalism.

Jordan Telecom Group's Board of Directors was the maestro that conducted our strategies. The vision and adaptability of our Board members enabled us to lead the course of our strategic moves during 2005.
As I put the gist of our work during 2005 between your hands, I seize the opportunity to thank the members of our Board of Directors for their wisdom and farsightedness. A word of thanks should also be extended to all the workers at Jordan Telecom Group, who made it possible for the vision to become a reality.

Together, we perceive a prosperous future lying ahead, and share the moment with everybody to say, “Hello to the Future”.
