The peak of our achievements culminated in 2005. Armed with the technology and expertise of our strategic partner, France Telecom, coupled with the capabilities and capacities of our network, and relying on the expertise and dedication of our manpower, we earned the confidence of our customers. Despite the competition, we continued to grow healthily and steadily on all fronts. Our services in the market proved to be unmatched in terms of technologies, customer care, and reduced rates.
Furthermore, we kept the pace with international developments in this vibrant and ever changing sector.
To keep up with modern trends and furnish the right platform for our operations, and more so, to enable ourselves to offer all that the international market is providing, we integrated the operations of our companies under one umbrella, that of the Jordan Telecom Group, which offers fixed, mobile, data and content delivery services, through Jordan Telecom, MobileCom, Wanadoo and e-dimension. Before the end of 2006, the Group will be an integrated operator proper.
Each of the Group’s companies is a leader in its own right, whether in terms of reliability of service, quality of customer care, or market share. The integration almost immediately yielded the desired effect. The Group continued to enhance the ICT sector on one hand and to contribute to the advancement of the national economy on the other. We spent a total of US$ 366 million since privatization in CAPEX, to improve the Group's business on all fronts.
To allow the reader arbitrate, a study of our 2005 financial results should be sufficient to translate our present position, explain our policies, and forecast the prospects of our future. Furthermore, our performance triggered doubling the price of our share since its listing in the Amman Financial Market in 2002. I find in this one indication, if anything, the confidence that Jordan Telecom Group is receiving in the market.
We would not have been able to realize any of our achievements, small or big, without the steadfastness, dedication and sincerity of our Franco-Jordanian team. We, nevertheless, remain committed to providing the necessary training to upgrade our manpower proficiencies in all aspects of our business. Luckily, we have the privilege of calling upon the expertise of our strategic partner, France Telecom being one of the top world telecom leaders, to bridge any gap of knowledge whenever needed.
On behalf of the Board of Directors, I hereby extend gratitude to all our shareholders, especially the Government of Jordan and France Telecom, whose wisdom and farsightedness have lead us to safer shores. We pledge to continue to serve Jordan and Jordanians, under the inspired and caring leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II. We believe that Jordanians deserve the very best.
I would like to conclude on a note of optimism, best embodied in our slogan, "Hello to the Future", which is optimism in the future of the Jordanian ICT sector in particular, and that of Jordan in general. Optimism in our readiness for competition, and in our contribution towards shaping the aspired future for Jordan.
